You've got to love parents who are so passionate about raising their kids that it not only bonds them, but it inspires them to create a business together. That's what happened with Robyn and Jeff Johnson. They started their online boutique, Dragonfliesandladybugs.com, in Nevada to share their designer kiddie finds with other picky parents.

Daughters Haylie and Lauren definitely benefit from mom & dad's sartorial taste, but I like their keen eye for boy fashions too. One of their favorite designers is Dogwood. Robyn loves this brand because they solely design for boys and all the fashions are "made to last the duration." Robyn adores Dogwood's shirts like the "Caribbean Raiders" Pirate tee(top). For beach bums boys, I love the hibiscus print "Sandy Beach" shorts (right) $19.80-$26.50 Sizes 2T-7 in most styles.

Their other top designer is Pediped. As Robyn sees it, "these are the BEST shoes!" I couldn't agree more. My new baby is a star, so it's only fitting that she sparkles in her Zoe pink metallic shoes ($30 left image). As you can tell, I'm no stranger to these soft-soled baby shoes, but I did learn something new: Pediped has launched a new Flex collection (up to US 12) for bigger kids. These kicks are for kids 2-5+. Pediped flex is fashioned with flexible skid-resistant soles, my daughter raced all over Brooklyn in her new Isabella Flex shoes. They were light so she could move fast and she grooved on the cool style. $44 Robyn steers new moms with little boys to the Jake (see navy left) in brown or navy $44.
